WordPress Support Frequently Asked Questions
What information do you need to support my website?
Admin-level login to your WordPress site (we can create one if needed), access to your domain and hosting, plus any third-party tools we’ll be working with such as Google Analytics, Zapier or Vimeo.
Can I keep using my existing web host?
Yes. We prefer to host with our own setup because it lets us support you more effectively and quickly, but we’re happy to work with your existing host if you’d rather stay put.
If you do want to move to our managed WordPress hosting, we’ll do the migration for free as part of your support plan, with no impact on your live site.
Do you handle website repairs and fixes?
Yes. Broken forms, plugin conflicts, layout glitches, slow pages and error messages are all part of what your plan covers. If something breaks, email us, and we will fix it, usually faster than you would expect. For urgent problems like a site that is down, repairs jump straight to the top of the queue.
How do I request changes to my site?
Just email us with what you need. Most simple changes go straight to your live site once we’ve made them. For bigger changes, we’ll set up a staging version so you can review before anything goes live, and we’ll jump on a quick call if we need to clarify anything first.
What happens if my website goes down or gets hacked?
First, don’t panic. Most issues are caught by our monitoring before you’d even notice. But if something does slip through, we’re already on it. We’ll be in touch fast and have your site back up as quickly as possible. This is exactly what your support plan is for.
Do you cover plugin licences?
Yes, where possible. We use our own agency licences for popular tools like Gravity Forms, WP Fusion, Elementor and LearnDash, which saves you the cost. If you need a specific premium plugin we don’t already license, we’ll let you know upfront and ask you to provide the file and licence.
How does billing work?
Plans are billed monthly via card or Direct Debit, on the same date each month. No invoices to chase, nothing to remember.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Anytime. If you need more support time or you’re consistently not using what you have, just let us know and we’ll switch you over.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. We don’t lock anyone into long contracts. If you need to cancel, your plan ends on your next billing date, and that’s that. We’d rather have a happy client for years than a trapped one for months.
Can I buy extra time if I need it?
Yes. If you’ve got a project that goes beyond your monthly hours, you can buy extra time at any point. We’ll always quote upfront, and support clients get a discount on top-up hours.
Do you offer annual plans?
Yes. Pay for 12 months upfront and you get two months free. Just let us know and we’ll set up annual billing for you.
What are your typical turnaround times?
It depends on the size and urgency of the task. As a guide:
- Site down, hacked or payment system failure: 2 to 5 hours
- Content and design changes: 1 to 3 days
- Simple feature requests: 1 to 3 days
- New pages: 7 to 10 days
- Larger feature builds: quoted with a custom timeline
