At Melt Design, we exist to help websites work better, faster and get more leads.
And over the last 20 years, we’ve done it for hundreds of businesses all over the world, in every imaginable sector, so it’s fair to say that when it comes to creating a website that works, we know what we’re doing.
If you’d like your website to work better, and you’re wondering where to start, one of our Web Audits might be right for you.
In a nutshell, a Web Audit is for you if you want to improve the performance of your website:
In a commercial context, that means getting more leads and more customers, which is exactly what most of us want.
Hop onto Google, and you’ll probably find a lot of web companies offering ‘audits’ or ‘healthchecks’. But in the vast majority of cases, all they’re doing is running your website through a tool, which automatically checks a bunch of things and spits out a report.
How do we know this? Because we used to do the same thing.
What we realised is that while that report did have some use, it was limited in its value, because it relied on a machine to do all the thinking.
What businesses really needed was an experienced mind, that knows what it takes to get leads and customers from a website, going through the website with a fine tooth comb and then making genuine, bespoke recommendations.
That’s what our Web Audit is, and for a limited time only, you can access it for free.
Everything that contributes to the success or failure of your website.
Speed, usability, copy, video, images, calls to action, social proof, navigation, the list goes on and on and on. We’ve been there, done that and got the t-shirt hundreds of times, and we’ll use that experience to give you bespoke advice on what it takes to get a website working better.
The audit process is straightforward: first, you schedule a video call with me using the calendar on this page and provide a few details about your website.
I will then review the information, examine your website personally, and run it through various tools to assess its speed and SEO performance. After that, I will create a web improvement action plan, which I will explain to you during our call.
At that point, assuming there are changes we recommend, you’ll have three options:
#1. Take those changes to your existing web company and get them to improve your website for you.
#2 Make the changes yourself – if you’re tech savvy enough, and you know how to edit your website, you can crack on and make the changes.
#3 Get us to help – if you would like us to help, we can talk about how that would work and what investment is required.
There really will be no hard-sell, no obligation to buy anything – if you’ve got a good relationship with your existing supplier and you’d rather they did it, or you can do it yourself, that’s absolutely fine with us; we’ll just be happy to have provided you with some value.
In short, if you’d like your website to work better, you’ll get value from the Audit.
And because an actual, experienced human is taking the time to analyse your website, you’ll get clarity on exactly how good it is, and what might need to change to improve it.
One caveat there though: because a real human does genuinely take the time to run through your website, it’s important you respect that time.
That does mean showing up to our booked call to go through our findings, and not standing us up. That’d make us sad.
